We’re looking for talented distributed systems engineers to help scale Farcaster.

Farcaster makes it easy for users to create an identity, post public messages and send private messages using an open protocol. You will be responsible for researching and developing the systems that help Farcaster scale to millions of users while ensuring that it remains performant and credibly decentralized.

If you were on the team today, you’d be researching and developing Snapchain, a blockchain like system for storing social data. Snapchain lets us process over 10,000 public posts per second helping Farcaster scale to a million concurrent users.

Responsibilities

• Researching new techniques to scale Farcaster to millions of concurrent users.
• Developing and shipping systems to production in rapid iteration cycles.
• Working with developers, node operators and ecosystem builders to make it easy to develop applications on Farcaster.

Must Haves

• Experience with Go, Rust, C or other lower level languages.
• Experience solving complex distributed systems problems at scale.
• Able to iterate very quickly from idea to pr to production with high quality.
• Live between GMT-8 and GMT-5 (North American timezones).
