Goals

• Allow channels to be permissionlessly created and managed
• Reduce protocol complexity while still allowing flexibility for experimentation
• Ship as quickly as possible

Proposal

Summary

• Channels are created and paid for onchain, similar to FIDs
• Channel profiles, rules and settings are stored in the protocol
• Channels can be followed by users, followers are stored in the protocol
• Channels have 2 feeds: Main and Recent
• Channels have 2 roles: Owner and Moderator
• We expect channel bots to help channel owners curate their channels
• Warpcast-only channel features that will be deprecated: channel passes, warn / hide / ban, co-hosts
