When you click on a transaction button (⚡) in a frame for the first time, Warpcast will prompt you to connect your wallet.

Untitled

What does this mean?

Once you connect your wallet AND click on a transaction button (⚡):

  1. A frame can read your onchain address and propose a transaction when you click on it.
  2. You can proceed with the transaction, which is sent to your wallet for a final confirmation.
  3. You can cancel the transaction, which will have no impact on your onchain assets.

How can I stay safe when making transactions in frames?

It’s possible for people to create malicious frames that trick you into giving away your onchain assets. Here’s what you can do to stay safe:

  1. Warpcast will simulate your transactions. We will try to simulate the transaction and see if it is trying to do anything malicious. It’s not foolproof but will catch a variety of attacks.

  2. Check the frame’s domain. This is the website that the frame is from and shows up below the frame in the feed. If you don’t recognize the website, proceed with caution and pay close attention to the simulation before proceeding.

  3. Make a new wallet with a small amount of funds. Use a separate address so that in the absolute worst case, you will only lose this small amount in the address. Most wallets will let you create a new account easily.
