We’re looking for a talented backend engineer to help scale the Warpcast app.

Warpcast is a Twitter-like social app build on the Farcaster protocol. You will be responsible for ingesting data from decentralized protocols and designing the backend apis and infrastructure for the social network. This includes feed generation, recommendation systems, machine learning pipelines, spam detection and indexing content for search.

If you were on the team today, you’d be building high performance data pipelines to take raw Faracster data from the protocol and deliver customized feeds to users. You’d have to interface with the Farcaster protocol, ingest data into online data stores, process signals for machine learning algorithms and build a real-time recommendation system to deliver feeds to users.

Responsibilities

• Building data pipelines, ML systems, algorithms and apis to deliver relevant and real-time social feeds to Farcaster users.
• Designing and creating recommendation systems to help users find the most relevant content via search, recommendations and other paths.
• Process very high volumes of data from decentralized networks like Farcaster and Ethereum in real-time, to deliver a great experience to users.
• Build wallet infrastructure to handle funds onchain and make payments and transactions reliably and performantly.

Must Haves:

• Able to work full stack across infrastructure, backend and client apps.
• Deep expertise with scaling backends, apis, relational databases and data infrastructure.
• Security-oriented mindset when developing and designing new systems.
• Able to iterate very quickly from idea to pr to production with high quality.
• Live between GMT-8 and GMT-5 (North American timezones)
